He was shot in the Back while he was walking to his house. When he was shot his two kids witnessed him get murdered. When he was walking he had t-shirts in his arms that said " Jim Crow Laws Must Go". He was killed also because he started an organization of boycotts so black peolpe would not be able to go in their bathrooms.

A 10 because His occupation was a civil rights/ human rights activist. Also he was the field secretary for (NAACP). He organized boycotts so that blacks can not go in the bathroms. He lived ina place where blacks did not dare to speak about the civil rights. Also he became the first cdivil rights leader to get assainated. The assaination of a prominent black figure brought out the violence.
